Email Setup Guide

How email works on your Basic, Standard, or Premium plan, and how to get it set up

Basic Plan — Email Forwarding

Your Basic plan includes email forwarding for your new domain. Forwarding means mail sent to your domain relays automatically to your Biz22 account email — the same address you sign in with. It doesn't create a new mailbox; it just redirects mail to the inbox you already check.

At order time you could optionally give a specific address to receive mail at (like info@yourbusiness.com) — if so, only that one address forwards, and anything else sent to your domain won't arrive anywhere. If you left it blank, any address at your domain (even a typo) forwards to your account email — the default, since nothing gets missed.

We set this up for you.If your domain was purchased through Biz22, forwarding to your account email is configured automatically — there's nothing for you to do at your domain's DNS settings. It's typically live within minutes of your order, though it can occasionally take a bit longer to propagate.

Changing Your Forwarding Setup

Contact us at biz22.com/contact to switch between forwarding everything and forwarding just one address, or to change which address that is. No DNS changes needed on your end.

Not seeing mail arrive as expected? Double-check your account email and spam folder — if forwarding still isn't working after that, contact usand we'll take a look.

Domain Registered Elsewhere?

Automatic forwarding only applies to domains purchased through Biz22, since it requires us to control your domain's DNS settings. If you registered your domain with another provider (or brought an existing domain to your Biz22 site), you'll need to set up forwarding directly with that registrar — most offer a free, built-in "Email Forwarding" or "Email Routing" option in their DNS settings. Contact usif you're not sure which case applies to you.

Standard Plan — Professional Mailbox

Your Standard plan includes a fully white-labeled mailbox on your own domain (like you@yourbusiness.com). Unlike forwarding, this is a real, standalone mailbox — you sign in and send/receive mail directly from your domain address, with its own storage and login.

How Provisioning Works

  1. We add your domain to our mail hosting provider
  2. A verification step confirms you own the domain
  3. We create your mailbox and send you your new address and login instructions

This process typically completes within a few business days of your order. You'll get a separate email as soon as your mailbox is ready — no action is needed from you in the meantime.

Connecting a Mail App

Once your mailbox is ready, you can access it from our webmail, or connect it to your phone or desktop mail app (Apple Mail, Outlook, Gmail app, etc.) using standard IMAP/SMTP settings.

Webmail, IMAP, and SMTP server names, along with your login, are included in your mailbox-ready email once provisioning completes. Username is always your full mailbox address (e.g. you@yourbusiness.com), and password is the one provided in that email.

Note:If your mail app asks for a server name and the ones in your mailbox-ready email don't work, double-check you're using your full email address as the username, not just the local part.

Premium Plan — Google Workspace

Coming soon. The Premium plan will bundle full Google Workspace business email — Gmail on your own domain, plus Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet — and isn't orderable yet. If you're interested, keep an eye on the pricing page or contact us to be notified when it launches.
